Defining equity in new Business

Following may be considered before sharing equity amongst partners and revising share capital. This was an important learning for me before I would have made a big mistake of wrong allocation of equity. I am not a financial expert and got this advice from some other expert which may be  just one side of the whole story. To me it seem to be logical and hence thought to share here.

1. Don't allocate whole of the authorized capital on day one. Save some amount that would be required to raise capital at later stages for funding

I just finished Six Sigma Black belt training a month back and barely passed the exam. I was not so confident but quite influenced with this management tool for problem solving. Mr. David from QAI did an excellent job in 3rd round of 4 days training to revisit the fundamental and advance concepts  with good examples and raising our application IQ significantly up ( in statistics term: p value < 5%). Most memorable of all was the I-MR charts for individuals, staging, use of MiniTAB to do all that. There was another  interesting  aspect which was TRIZ, but i guess it requres more than just 4 hours of exposure and a workshop with more hands on approach.

Size Measurements in Software Projects

Why we need measurement for Software projects size

We need it because it is used at number of other calculations to capture project performance and at higher level reflects into organization’s performance for operations. It is like asking a factory how many units do you produce in a day for set number of labor. Examples of derived performance measurements are: defects per unit size, efforts spent per unit size of project, Cost spent per unit size of project. Then these are used also later on to arrive at costs for new projects.
